EFFICACY DEMONSTRATION
The images displayed below show a surface with Microban® antimicrobial protection and an unprotected surface that were inoculated with odor causing bacteria and photographed with a confocal microscope over a 24 hour period. The surface with Microban protection inhibited the growth of stain and odor causing bacteria. The unprotected surface showed an uncontrolled growth of stain and odor causing bacteria.

Microban protection penetrates the cell wall of the microbe and disrupts key cell functions so that microbes cannot function, grow or reproduce. This information is based upon standard laboratory tests and is provided for comparative purposes to substantiate antimicrobial activity for non-public health applications.
EFFICACY TESTING
Microban relies upon a number of international standard tests, conducted at appointed testing houses to assess and evaluate the efficacy of all antimicrobial finishes.
